Don’t know if I posted something like this already but here is a another example of white people being willfully ignorant. Remember everyone, if we ask for some representation white people like the ones in the notes will tell us to do it ourselves. And when we do it for ourselves we’re the racist ones.

But white folks never want to mention that the majority of the founding officers for the NAACP were white people. Moorfield Storey was the first President of the NAACP and was a WHITE MAN…

White folks never want to mention that Miss Black America exists because WHITE PEOPLE BANNED BLACK WOMEN FROM PARTICIPATING IN THE MISS AMERICA PAGEANT UNTIL THE 70s.

White people never want to mention the amount of medical racism that exists within the system, ESPECIALLY with regards to mental health, since white folks literally MADE UP MENTAL DISEASES to diagnose Black people who weren’t content being raped, abused, and treated like cattle as ‘crazy.’

They never want to mention how Black people were specifically singled out and disenfranchised even though they had a constitutional amendment guaranteeing their right to vote, and are STILL BEING DISENFRANCHISED TO THIS FUCKING DAY.

They never want to mention how sharecropping became the new slavery and that farming still holds a fucking stigma for Black people because of that painful history and there needs to be a group that looks out for their well being.

They never want to talk about how Black people are the subject of police brutality and massacres and have been for over a century, with the police participating in lynchings.

They don’t want to talk about how our history is erased from textbooks and majority of the shit taught in school is about the ‘importance’ of genocidal Europeans who raped and destroyed cultures internationally for “God, Gold and Glory.” Not to mention the fact that Black is essentially it’s own fucking ETHNICITY since we literally had to rebuild our own culture from SCRATCH.

And they don’t EVER want to talk about how our so called ‘television’ isn’t really marketed to us at all but is owned by a fucking WHITE MAN who is pumping out racist caricatures of Black people to market such nonsense to the white community as the gospel truth about how us ‘negroes’ are, when we are STILL trying to get Black people out of the bullshit niche that white supremacy in television has put us in.

Racist. You keep using that fucking word. YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT THE FUCK IT MEANS.

It’s posts like this man….it makes it hard for me. I try to approach everyone on the same playing field… but it still angers and astonishes me that some White people are this unaware.

How can you be this unaware? Like, someone explain this to me….? How can you be so unaware that you don’t realize that you only hear White history all year round…. or that there’s rarely a Black contestant at the Miss America pageant.

How can you look at an association of Black psychologists and think RACIST… instead of What’s missing in the Association of Psychologists that’s not meeting the needs of Black psychologists?
